South Africa heading for 700k cases of coronavirus

Report from the Health Department shows South Africa has now recorded 698,184 after another 1,770 new cases were identified in the 24-hour cycle.

The cumulative number of tests conducted to date is 4,481,354 with 22,609 new tests conducted since the last report.

An addition to the cases was another 158 more COVID-19 related deaths: 22 from Eastern Cape, 19 from the Free State, 38 from KwaZulu Natal, 70 from Gauteng, 5 from Limpopo, and 4 from Western Cape.

Total Recovery now at 628,301 with an increase of 1,403, which translates to a recovery rate of 90%

Active cases not showing any sign of dropping as it now stands at 51,574.
